Frequently Asked Questions
How can I reserve an apartment?
Call 425-313-9100 to schedule a tour and reserve the apartment of your choice. A $100 deposit will hold the apartment until you are ready to move in. The deposit will be applied to your first month’s rent or it will be refunded if your circumstances change.
Is there a buy-in or is rent month to month?
There is no buy-in. Rent is month to month. Upon move-in, you would be asked to pay the first month’s rent plus move-in fees.
How much are the move-in fees?
Move-in fees total $2500. $2000 of this fee goes toward apartment maintenance and the remaining $500 is placed in the Resident Council fund. This fund is reserved for the residents to determine where they would like to spend it.
What is your visitor policy?
Spiritwood has an open visitor policy. Friends and family are welcome to walk in between 8:30 AM and 8:30 PM. After 8:30 PM, our doors are locked, but visitors are admitted by ringing the door bell.
When can I take a tour?
Tours are available 7 days a week. Call ahead to schedule an appointment.
Are overnight visitors allowed?
Yes. Friends and family are allowed to stay overnight with residents. They may also join them for meals by purchasing meal tickets at the front desk. We ask that all visitors sign in at the front desk so we are aware of their presence in the event of an emergency. When extra rooms are available, guests may rent a separate room for $50 per night including meals.
Are there any volunteer opportunities?
Yes. There are many volunteer opportunities available at Spiritwood. We are always looking for qualified people to help with art projects, crafts, games, flower arranging, outings, spa treatments, parties and special events. We also welcome volunteer musicians to regularily perform for our residents. Volunteers are required to complete a background check and volunteer application. Contact Cecily Cline, our Life Enrichment Director for more information.
Are outings and shopping trips included in your services?
Yes. Transportation is one of our basic services. We have full-time bus drivers for a variety of recreational outings and shopping trips. Residents can also schedule a ride to the doctor on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
